EG Grid-IT is a MapInfo utility
which creates grid regions.
Why would you want to use grids?
One reason is to aggregate data and color the grids as a way
to remove the biases of shapes like ZIP
codes. After all, ZIP Codes are designed for delivering mail,
not making business decisions.
EG Grid-IT works with all
MapInfo versions and works from a control rectangle. You
simply draw a rectangle over the area you want covered and
Grid-IT will draw the grids from the northwest corner.
Besides creating the grids, EG-Grid-IT!
creates a layer of labels. The grids can be labeled
individually or the entire grid table can be keyed with
alphanumeric labels running along the top and left side.
